Born in New York City, Anneliese’s introduction to woodworking started in local shops building custom work for restaurants and homes. Seeking a more expressive path, she later shifted to the world of theater production in Philadelphia, building elaborate sets for cruise lines and museums.
In 2020, having never lost her passion for hardwoods and intricate joinery, she pivoted her focus to working on personal designs and commissions in her Philadelphia studio. Most recently she completed the 9-month program at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in 2023, and has since returned to Philadelphia to continue her career in the world of functional sculpture; more commonly referred to as, furniture. AKA, Fine Art Woodwork.
